Say hello to our Chief Fun Ambassador Chibi Maruko Chan! The lovable character has joined First Initiative Foundation (FIF)' s bandwagon in support of our Educational Outreach Programme. This special collaboration includes vibrant dinosaur safari illustrations, telling the tales of Maruko and Hanawa' s adventures in the Jurassic and Cretaceous periods. So strap on your seat belts as this animated duo zips you through the claws of the mighty prehistoric beasts - with a whole lot of knowledge and fun activities along the way.
Weekend Guided Tour: Safari Tour
Chibi Maruko Chan and Hanawa Kun, the two popular characters, will be your expedition leaders at this one-of-a-kind Dinosaur Safari Tour organised by FIF at the Hong Kong Science Museum (HKScM). Let the duo bust some myths and open your mind as they guide you through the scientifically important museum trail.
- Starting Date: 28.1 (Sat), 29.1 (Sun), 12.2 (Sun) & 19.2 (Sun)
- Guided tour time: 3:15 pm / 4:15 pm / 5:30 pm & 6:30 pm (limit to 30 participants per session)
- Language: Cantonese
- Registration location: 1/F, Hong Kong Science Museum (adjacent to the Visitor Services Center, on-site registration 15 minutes before each guided tour time, first come first served)
- Meeting Point: Exhibition Gallery entrance at 2/F, Hong Kong Science Museum

"Chibi Maruko Chan — Dinosaur - The Big Eight" Storybook
In the picture storybook, "Chibi Maruko Chan — Dinosaurs - The Big Eight," Maruko Chan, Hanawa Kun, and a group of classmates visit the dinosaur exhibition and meet eight dinosaur friends from the Jurassic and Cretaceous periods. About Chibi Maruko Chan
Chibi Maruko Chan is a comic series created by Momoko Sakura, published since August 1986 and became a national animation in Japan since 1990. The animation also became a smash hit in Asia, which have been broadcasting in China (including Hong Kong & Taiwan), Korea, Malaysia, Indonesia etc. Year 2022 is the 35th Anniversary of the Chibi Maruko Chan comics series. The series depicts the simple everyday life of Maruko together with her family and friends.
