Hope & Harmony

Hope & Harmony

First Initiative Foundation was proud to present Hope & Harmony. This initiative truly reflected the Foundation’s mission and direction as we emphasised the importance of a harmony of purpose and the power of music to unite us all.

The Initiative included an FIF-supported debut of celebrated pianist Niu Niu’s world premiere composition Impromptu No. 1 “Hope”. The audience also witnessed a soulful duet performed by celebrated pianist and child prodigy Niu Niu together with French cellist Laurent Perrin. The collaboration brought to life Gabriel Fauré Élégie in C Minor and Chinese folk tune Colourful Clouds Chasing the Moon. The evening also witnessed the coming together of the French and Chinese cultures through a delectable meal made by Michelin-star chefs such as Chef Vicky Lau of Tate Dining Room, Chef Maxime Gilbert of Écriture, along with Chef Tang Leung Hung and Chef Wu Yuk Ming of Maxim’s.

The initiative also entailed an up, close and personal masterclass with the celebrated pianist Niu Niu for deserving students from HKAPA.

Hope & Harmony celebrated the power of unity for a good cause. Funds contributed supported the Foundation’s work including community outreach, education and mentorship programmes, scholarships and to set an International stage for local talent.

This initiative united the culinary and performance arts to present a message of Hope & Harmony for all.
